Botafogo returns to the field this Thursday (21), at 7 PM (Brasília time), when they visit LDU at the Casa Blanca Stadium in Ecuador for the second leg of the round of 16 of the Conmebol Libertadores 2025.
Having won the first leg 1-0, the Glorious only needs a draw in the altitude of Quito to secure a spot in the quarterfinals.
The Ecuadorians, on the other hand, need a victory by two goals to advance. If they win by one goal, the spot will be decided on penalties.
In the last match (1-0 against Palmeiras, in the Brasileirão), coach Davide Ancelotti fielded a mixed team, with some starters, but mostly players considered reserves.
Therefore, compared to the first leg, the Italian coach opted for the inclusion of Marçal, Allan, and Matheus Martins in place of David Ricardo, Álvaro Montoro, and Arthur Cabral, respectively, in Botafogo.
