Four-star safety to visit Tennessee for Arkansas football game in 2025

Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class.

Four-star safety Gavin Williams will visit Tennessee for the Vols’ game against Arkansas on Oct. 11, according to Blair Angulo of 247Sports. He will also visit UCLA, USC, Our Lady and Washington this season.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound prospect is from Damien High School in La Verne, California. 247Sports ranks Williams as the No. 15 safety in the class and No. 15 player in California.

Tennessee offered him a scholarship on Oct. 1, 2024. Other SEC schools to offer Williams a scholarship include Texas A&M, AuburnMississippi State, Alabama, Georgia, TexasMissouri, Arkansas and Ole Miss.

Linebacker JP Peace is the Vols’ only 2027 football commitment.

Tennessee has 22 commitments in its 2026 football recruiting class: quarterback Faizon Brandon, wide receiver Tyreek King, offensive lineman Gabriel Osenda, linebacker Braylon Outlaw, defensive lineman CJ Edwards, defensive lineman Zach Groves, safety KJ McClain, safety Luke Thompson, defensive end Kedric Golston II, offensive lineman Edward Baker, wide receiver Zaydyn Anderson, quarterback Legend Bey, defensive lineman Dereon Albert, linebacker TJ White, cornerback Jamyan Theodore, defensive lineman Darryl Rivers, wide receiver Javonte Smith, linebacker Brayden Rouse, safety Jowell Combay, offensive lineman JB Shabazz,athlete Joel Wyatt and athlete Salesi Moa.
