It’s a yearly sign that the opener is getting close – the weekly Mike Gundy Media Luncheon. Typically held on the Monday before a game, this one is set for a Thursday because the Cowboys open with UT-Martin next Thursday at 6:30 p.m CDT.
Today’s press conference should be interesting since it’s only the second time since fall camp that Gundy has been in front of assembled media. The last of those was on August 2. Naturally, his plan at quarterback – and pretty much every other position – for the opener will be one of the hottest topics today at noon. We’re still predicting both Zane Flores and Hauss Hejny will play significant snaps, with no starter being named until right before the Oregon game, for what it’s worth.
