Palestine: An Unending Wound

Must read

Perhaps there is no issue in modern history that has shaken the conscience of humanity for so long as the question of Palestine. Decades have passed, generations have changed, yet the Palestinian people still stand where their trials first began.

Palestine: An Unending Wound

Global media frequently raises its voice for Palestine. Resolutions are passed, rallies are held, and human rights organizations continue their protests. But the painful reality is that the condition of the Palestinian people has not seen any meaningful improvement. The eyes of the world may be fixed on them, yet practical action remains almost non-existent.

The most tragic aspect of this crisis is that the Palestinians have not only been deprived of land and statehood, but even the basic hope of life has been taken away. The way they are being crushed through hunger and deprivation is beyond imagination. The fear and hunger reflected in the eyes of children, the helplessness of the sick, and the endless stories of martyrdom — all stand as testimony to the depth of Palestine’s wound.

The question arises: will Palestine ever receive justice? In the short term, the answer, sadly, seems to be “no.” The world’s major powers, bound by their political and economic interests, are not serious about resolving this conflict. Yet history has also proven that no nation remains oppressed forever. The resilience, patience, and sacrifices of the Palestinian people will one day bear fruit.

Thinking about this adds even more weight to the heart and mind. For every sensitive human being, it is a tormenting reality that humanity is being crushed in this part of the world while the global conscience remains silent. And yet, a ray of hope still exists: as long as resistance lives, the path to justice cannot be completely closed.
