Washington, D.C. — A high-level meeting was held at the White House with European leaders and international officials to discuss coordinated security guarantees for Ukraine.
The talks focused on providing joint assurances with U.S. support, as leaders expressed optimism about prospects for peace after nearly four years of war.
Following the meeting, the U.S. President contacted the Russian President to arrange direct talks with Ukraine’s leadership. A trilateral summit is also being planned.
Senior U.S. officials are coordinating follow-up discussions with both Russia and Ukraine.
