Alisha Lehmann’s Bold Career Move to FC Como Women
Lehmann’s latest post comes at a pivotal moment in her career. After winning both the Serie A Femminile title and Coppa Italia with Juventus last season, many expected her to stay at the top level of Italian women’s soccer or move to a European powerhouse. Instead, she chose a surprising path by joining FC Como Women, a club that finished in the bottom half of the league last season.
Speaking to The GuardianLehmann explained why she was drawn to Como’s project:
“It’s an independent club, fully focused on women’s football and that really matters to me,” Lehman said. “From the start, I could see this wasn’t just another team; it’s a project with real purpose and vision. Signing with FC Como Women just felt right.”
Farewell to Juventus
Lehmann’s move came only a year after arriving in Turin alongside her then-boyfriend Douglas Luiz, who joined the Juventus men’s team. The Swiss international played 16 matches for Juve, scoring twice and assisting once, while also helping secure the domestic double.
Before leaving, she penned a heartfelt message to Juventus fans:
“I want to say thank you for this amazing year, especially to my teammates and the amazing fans. The hard work we put in last season and won titles, a team that I will never forget. To leave such an amazing club and people close to me was a very difficult decision. This club, this team and those fans will always have a special place in my heart.”

Lehmann has already featured for Como in preseason. She made her debut against former club Juventus during the Women’s Cup in Milan, where Como fell 2-0. Days later, she played 88 minutes in a 1-0 victory over Atletico Madrid, helping the team secure third place in the tournament.
