New England Patriots quarterback Ben Wooldridge connected on a 10-yard touchdown pass with undrafted rookie wide receiver Jeremiah Webb in Thursday’s preseason game against the New York Giants.
The Patriots struggled to move the ball down the field throughout the game, but they finally put a good drive together that ended with a much-needed touchdown. Wooldridge dropped back and threw a jump ball to Webb, who hopped over the defender and hauled it in for a score.
The drive itself took 14 plays, 80 yards and 6:01 off the clock.
Wooldridge and Webb are both competing for a spot on the team. They are viewed as long-shot options for the 53-man roster and likely practice squad candidates.
